Abstract

Primary peritoneal serous carcinoma (PPSC) is a rare entity that diffusely involves the pelvic peritoneum seen predominantly in elderly postmenopausal women. Exclusion of serous carcinoma arising from the ovary and fimbrial end of fallopian tube is required to diagnose the above entity.
